Yes. It works in any modern browser, including photos taken on the latest iOS versions. On iPhone, HEIC files can be selected from the Files or Photos app via the file picker.
What happens to EXIF data and metadata?
The current version keeps the full image resolution and orientation while stripping camera metadata (such as GPS location) during JPEG encoding. A toggle to preserve metadata is planned.
